Research Areas: Comparative Corporate Systems, Corporate Governance, Transition and Management of State-owned Enterprises, Private Enterprise Business Models, Corporate Competitiveness in Emerging Markets
Xiang is a professor of accounting and the founding dean of Cheung Kong. Earlier, he pioneered and provided leadership for the EMBA and Executive Education programs at the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University, served on the faculty of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and was one of seven founding faculty members of the China-Europe International Business School (CEIBS).
Xiang has taught executive programs at many universities and corporations and is a well-known management consultant.
