Stephan Csoma

Stephan Csoma is at 46 Senior Vice President Government Affairs at Umicore, a Brussels-based materials technology company with a EUR 7 billion turnover in 2009 and industrial operations worldwide. Some 13.700 employees are active in 4 business areas: Advanced Materials, Precious Metals Products & Catalysts, Precious Metals Services and Zinc Specialties. Mr Csoma has close to 20 years of managerial experience with Umicore in Hong Kong, South Africa, Belgium, Brazil including 7 in China. In 1987 he studied at Shanghai Fudan University. He negotiated Umicore’s first joint venture in China in 1995. As General Manager of Umicore Shanghai he led cobalt and zinc materials industrial activities. He is currently involved in Resources Efficiency and Sustainable Materials Management issues.
