Chen Haijun

Position: Vice General Manager - Huawei Europe Region


Mr. Chen came to the Netherlands in 1991. He visited the Department of Electrical Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology (TUE) the Netherlands as a Visiting Scholar and a Ph.D. candidate. In 1996, after he got the Ph.D. degree, he became a Post-doc Researcher at the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands. In 1998, He became a Scientific Staff Member at Centre for Telematics and Information Technology (CTIT), Faculty of Computer Science, University of Twente and engaged in an European ACTS project: “Photonic Routing of Interactive Services for Mobile Applications – PRISMA”, doing research on the subject of Network Configuration Management and Control. In 2000, he was invited by Ericsson to be a Senior Systems Engineer at Ericsson EuroLab Netherlands BV, working on Wideband Radio Networks – Systems Design. On June 2003, Dr. Chen joined Huawei Technologies. He was the first Managing Director of Huawei Benelux and took the responsibilities for business development in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Now Dr. Chen is the Vice President of Huawei European Region, and is responsible for Public Affairs.
